Continental Math League
MOT Charter school students in grades 2 through 6 are participating in the national Continental Math League competition. This competition involves a series of “meets” where students compete against grade level peers. The 4th-6th graders have 5 meets throughout the year on November 3rd, December 1st, January 5th, February 9th, and March 15th. Grades 2 and 3 will participate in the last three meets.
During each meet, every child in the grade level is given the same six very challenging math questions. Each grade has a different math league test. The questions are designed to be challenging so not all students will be able to solve every question. However, the questions are based upon the skills that the students have been taught. The goal and expectation is that by participating in Math League, students will get better at solving these types of problems.
Please check the website for the top scores in each grade level for each meet! At the end of the year, the top five scorers at each grade level will receive a medal!
