4/22 Bus trouble and bad weather can't stop us.
Busses breaking down and thunder storms, didn't stop the Mustangs of MOT Charter and the Crusaders of Holy Cross. It was definaiely a barn burning. These teams kept the game at a one point deficit the entire way. Even though both teams fought hard, Holy Cross came out on top 5-4.
"Holy Cross is a very talented team," says the MOT coach, "but so are we. It was great to see this level of competitiveness at the middle school level. Even though there can only be one winner on the score board, I believe both teams benefited from this experience."
The Lady Mustangs are currently holding at a 4-2-1 record. With only four game left, let's get out there support our girls!
4/20 Cross town rivals.
The Lady Mustangs performed tremendously against cross-town rival, St. Anne's. The Mustangs scored within the first minute putting the Herons on their heals. With the game close from start to finish. The Lady mustangs' defense pressured late in the game, but kept their composure to with the 3-1 victory.
"The defense gave me goose bumps. We had an outstanding performance by our goal keeper," remarked MOT's coach.
Next up Holy Cross. After a disappointing loss back in March, the Lady Mustangs are out for a win. Expect a hard fought match-up when the Crusaders come to Middletown.
4/12 Going the distance.
MOT Charter traveled far to take on long time opponents Pike Creek. The Mustangs out scored the Eagles 12-0 up at Banning park.
MOT's coach says, "the girls showed great character from start to finish."
Tuesday April 20th, the Lady Mustangs take on cross-town rival St. Ann's. Come out and support this great rivalry.
4/1 A battle back and forth for the Lady Mustangs.
Tough field conditions did not stop MOT Charter and Caravel from putting out a great game. With the ending with a 2-2 tie, both MOT and Caravel played to very end.
"We are facing some tough teams this year, and with each game we keep getting better," says MOT's coach.
After spring break, the Lady Mustangs head up north to take on a long time rime, Pike Creek. Enjoy the break everyone!
3/31 Slow start turns into a strong finish.
After a difficult loss to Holy Cross last week, the Lady Mustangs bounced back with a well fought win over Red Lion Christian Academy. With the game still close at half time, MOT scored four more goals in the second half to make the final 6-2. The Lady mustangs seemed to do what ever it took to win the game.
"At the half, I simply asked the ladies to communicate and have some fun," says MOT's coach.
A great job to both teams. The Mustangs will be back in action tomorrow against Caravel. Lets hope the girls can keep up the momentum heading into the spring break. GO MUSTANGS!
3/25 Lady Mustangs fall short against Holy Cross.
The Lady Mustangs put up a good fight against the Crusaders of Holy Cross. Even though the team fell short in thier 2-4 loss, the team played hard the entire game.
"The ladies played thier hearts out from beginning to end. We are not going to let this game get to us, but rather learn from it," said MOT's coach.
Next week, MOT travels to Red Lion Christian Academy on Tuesday March 30th. Keep up the good work!
3/22 Lady Mustangs open 2010 Season with an outstanding effort.
MOT Charter School Girls' Soccer opens the season with an outstanding effort all around in their 8-1 win over Campus Community. Seven of the eight goals were scored in the first half. In the second half, the eighth goal was scored, followed up by an outstanding display of defense and goal keeping. The Mustangs remained steady and poised until the end.
"The team chemistry is right where it needs to be," says MOT's coach, "and if we continue to get the leadership we need from of our captains and 8th graders, I see this becoming a fun and successfull season."
Later this week, the Lady Mustangs take on a mighty rival, Holy Cross. Come out and support the team this Thursday down in Dover. Congratulations Ladies!!!

Tryouts will be held for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders March 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th after school from 3:45pm-4:45pm. All players are required to provided their own cleats, shin guards, and athletic wear. Please dress weather appropriate.
The final roster may be closed to 6th graders if the number of interests exceeds the team's roster capacity.
Each player must have a completed DIAA Physical Evaluation Packet before participating in tryouts, practices, and comeptitions. A physical packet is not required if the student athlete had already participated in a previous sport this year.
