This week in class, students will be doing the following:

Students will continue their novel studies by reading chapters 7 - 9 of My Brother Sam Is Dead or 8 - 11 of Frindle

Summarize chapters, identify main idea and supporting details, and make text connections

Selection Vocabulary

Comprehension Check/ Review Questions

Novel-specific activities (i.e. Packing for a Journey; Traveling to Verplancks Point)

Students will begin writing a persuasive editorial

Students will update their writing portfolios
