This is my 8th year here at MOT . . . I have been here since the beginning! I taught Kindergarten for 2 1/2 years, I was the Reading Specialist for 2 1/2 years, and I returned to the classroom when I realized how much I missed it - I am now in my third year teaching 1st grade.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2001 from Wilmington College with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education. I graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2005 from Wilmington College with a Masters Degree in Reading. I am certified in Early Childhood Education (Birth - K), Elementary Education (K-4), Special Education (1 - 12), and as a Reading Specialist. As you can tell, I am always interested in exploring and learning about current and new educational practices.

I enjoy spending my free time with my husband and our two daughters. I also enjoy reading, shopping, scrapbooking, and laughing!!

One hundred years from now it won't matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had in the bank, or what my cloths looked like . . . BUT the world may be a little better, because I was important in the life of a child. ~ Author Unknown
