 Where We’ve Been:
WOW!! We worked BEARY hard this week and we got so much done in just 4 days!!
We continued SRA Unit 7: I Think I Can. We read The Kite with Frog and Toad. We discussed Toad’s frustrations and how through perseverance he was able to fly the kite.
We began learning about vocabulary. The words this week were meadow and kite.
We continued to work as engineers in Science. We observed a can opener and experienced how it worked. We discovered the parts of the machine and discussed its use and some disadvantages … like how dangerous it can be!
We continued Trailblazers Unit 8: Subtracting to Solve Problems. We wrote our own Subtraction cartoons and learned all about “whole - part = part”.
We also worked on Map Skills in Social Studies. We explored different types of maps.
