1st Grade
This is my seventh year teaching first grade at MOT Charter school. I graduated summa cum laude from Salisbury University with a B.S. in Elementary Education, and I am pursuing a M.Ed. in Reading at Wilmington College. When I'm not teaching I enjoy scrapbooking, going to the beach, gardening, reading, and watching movies. My entire family has been involved at MOT Charter- my daughter Margaux is in sixth grade here; my daughter Alexis graduated from MOT last year; and my husband, Morris, has been on the Board of Directors since 2002. First grade is such a fun age group because they are so excited about learning and their perspectives on life keep me laughing daily. My favorite part of teaching is watching first graders learn how to read!
