Honors Reading

This marking period is dedicated to helping the students learn to write literary analysis/term papers.

During reading and some writing classes, students will be reading, researching, and writing term/literary analysis papers.  They will learn how to write abstracts, complete outlines, conduct research, complete note cards, write rough drafts, make connections between different texts, and develop a well-thought out thesis statement.  Additionally, students will follow a theme thoughout a novel and write an essay on what they found and will also evaluate character development and personality throughout a novel.
