Thursday, October 14^th:          READING DCAS – Grades 3, 4 ,5 & 7

Friday, October 15^th:              MATH DCAS – Grades 3, 4, 5 & 7

Monday, October 18^th:            READING DCAS – Grades 6 & 8

Tuesday, October 19^th:            MATH DCAS – Grades 6 & 8 

Over the past week, MOT Charter students have been exploring the new system with the practice tests.  Allowing the students to take a practice test ensures that they understand how to use the test tools on the computer and allows them to see some sample items.  Some students will take the assessment in one of our two computer labs.  Others will take it using mobile laptop notebooks.  Students will take the DCAS three times each year—fall, winter, and spring.  Each administration will provide you and the teachers with valuable information about your child’s academic progress, and me with valuable information about the overall effectiveness of our academic program. 

As always, it is important that you help your child do his/her best on the assessment by providing a nutritious breakfast and ensuring that he/she gets a good night’s rest prior to the scheduled day.
