Learning Management Systems

MOT Charter School uses web-based learning management systems (LMS) to allow students easier access to the resources they need to be successful scholars. Benefits of these systems include: access to information 24 hours/day - 7 days/week from any location; centralized location for study materials and/or assignments and increased communication & collaboration with teachers and classmates.

For parents/guardians these systems provide the ability to view student registration, scheduling, grades, attendance, letter day, bus and grade information. Confidential username and password information is sent home at the beginning of the school year.  Contact the main office if there are issues with your username or password.

Many of the tools we use allow "push" notifications, we encourage families to review the user guides and setup Alerts & Notifications in order to receive important communications in a timely manner.

Home Access Center (HAC) and Schoology are our primary LMS tools, please see below for more information., etc.

SCHOOLOGY

Schoology is a dynamic learning management solution (LMS) designed to give faculty and students the ability to teach, learn, communicate, collaborate, grade, annotate student work, and give feedback anytime, anywhere. and on any device. For parents, Schoology allows 24-7 access to view student registration, scheduling, attendance, assignment, and grade information; as well as a method to easily communicate with faculty.

Once you have received your log in information, follow the initial login instructions to setup your account. If your log in information was misplaced or lost, please contact your student’s teacher or the front office.

Click this link to learn more about Schoology Setup & Navigation – while you are logged in please ensure you are setup for Schoology Notifications, these notifications will automatically send you information about your child. If you already know your way around, visit MOT Schoology.

HOME ACCESS CENTER (HAC)

Home Access Center (HAC) allows parents/guardians the ability to view student registration, scheduling, attendance, letter day, bus and grade information. While you are in HAC, PLEASE GO INTO YOUR PREFERENCES AND ELECT TO RECEIVE ATTENDANCE ALERTS. For students at our K-8 campus, parents can receive attendance notifications when their child is reported absent from school and HAC push notifications (text or email) are the most efficient way to receive timely information.

In addition, there is a Home Access mobile application - called eSchoolPLUS Family App - which parents/guardians can download to their mobile device so student's information can be accessed at their convenience. To DOWNLOAD THE FREE eSchoolPLUS Family App click: iTunes  / GooglePlay

• Click the user guide links for instructions on how to use the web-based HAC or mobile app.

• The system is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, except during routine maintenance periods.

• Password-secured information can be accessed from home, work, or any computer equipped with internet access.

• System maintains digital copies of current year records, parents/guardian can print copies for their records on demand.

• The Registration section displays current contact information which you can updated as needed.

– Also under Registration, parents/guardians can view bus information, however if transportation changes are needed, parents must contact the Front Office.

Each marking period, parents/guardians will receive notification when report cards are available for viewing, it remains important for you to view these documents in a timely manner each marking period.

NOTE: Home Access works best in Internet Explorer and is not Safari (MAC) friendly, therefore it may not work and/load properly if you are using the Safari browser from a MAC.

Please continue to use Schoology (your child's teacher can provide Schoology login information if needed) to find details on class assignments, due dates, etc.
