Students will receive six (6) tickets to the Graduation ceremony, tickets will be distributed to seniors once all obligations are met. If your family does not need all six tickets, please let the office know as soon as possible by emailing: hsfront.desk@mot.k12.de.us.

• Graduates will not need a ticket, only those family/friends attending the ceremony in-person. The ceremony will be live-streamed with the link for the event provide just prior to the event.
• If you would like to request additional tickets, please email the front office staff as soon as possible at hsfront.desk@mot.k12.de.us. We will do our best to accommodate requests, but there is no guarantee additional tickets will be available. Families will be contacted 3 days prior to graduation day if additional tickets will be provided to them.
• If you have a family member who needs handicap parking/handicap seating, please , please email the front office staff as soon as possible at hsfront.desk@mot.k12.de.us, so that we can reserve a spot. In order to provide the most handicap accessibility, a handicap seat and one additional seat for a companion will be reserved in that area. Other family members will be seated in the general admission area seating.

All graduates will be allowed two (2) parking spots per family. A parking spot for the graduate would count as one of the two family parking spots.

All vehicles entering the property must be displaying their graduation parking pass (will be provided to seniors the week of the ceremony) or the vehicle will not be able to enter the school's parking lot.

In order to accommodate those with access needs, please ensure your car displays a valid state disability parking placard if you are parking in one of the designated handicapped parking spots.

There is no reserved seating at Commencement. If you expect to need assistance, please plan to arrive early to secure adequate seating. Seating at Commencement is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

ADA Seating: Please email the high school office to request assistance for guests with disabilities arrangements.

ADA Parking: Designated Handicapped Parking on campus is limited. If your car has an accessible parking tag, you will be directed to drop-off guests with disabilities and park in the nearest accessible parking space. Please note that there are only two (2) parking passes per family, which includes the one (1) for the graduating student.

10:00am: Graduates must be on campus and in the designated meeting location by 10:00AM. Only graduates will be permitted in the meeting area, as no other family or visitors may enter. 10:00-10:45am: Pictures will be taken prior to graduation by Majors, and graduation posters will be signed.

11:00am: The Commencement ceremony will begin at 11:00AM, sharp.

MOT Charter School wishes to create a courteous and respectful environment in which to celebrate our newest alumni. We ask that all Commencement attendees refrain from disrupting the formal ceremony through the use of noisemakers (such as air horns, cowbells and bullhorns), shouting or chanting, or high-volume mobile phone ringtones and conversations.

We ask that guests please refrain from watching the ceremony through their phone video app. Be in the moment and celebrate with us! The ceremony will be videotaped and available for distribution.

Beach balls and other objects of distraction are prohibited.

Additionally, school policies which restrict the use of tobacco and alcohol remain in force before, during and after the Commencement ceremony. Students who do not adhere to school policies during the commencement ceremony may be subject to disciplinary action.

MOT Charter School has contracted a local studio to take photographs during the Commencement ceremony. Following Commencement, you will be contacted independently by the photography studio with proofs to order. Due to the carefully orchestrated nature of the conferral procession, it is not possible for each family to approach the platform to take a picture of their graduate as they receive their diploma.

Do not bring your pets; only service animals are permitted at the Commencement.
